The Web Services Team is committed to bringing quality web services to faculty, students, staff, and users all over the world.
Web Services is responsible for the main web site, FAMU.edu, as well as many other web sites. We are responsible for the overall presence and functionality of the FAMU Web Site. We are a team of developers, creatives, analytical thinkers, designers, and content organizers who have a passion for pushing the creative envelope. Using our vast expertise, we create dynamic web experiences by producing products that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional.
In addition to managing the FAMU web site, we also responsible for:
Content Management System (CMS)
The Content Management System is a system, built in-house, that helps to keep the FAMU Website accurate and up-to-date. In efforts to continue to provide quality web experiences, the website content should be kept current with the latest information. The CMS allows content managers all over campus to maintain their departmental websites and keep the website current. Training is provided to all content managers.
Task Management System (TMS)
The Task Management System is a custom build application that allows faculty & staff to report various technology problems, data requests, and submit various requests where managers are able to distribute the work-load and service the needs of the FAMU community. The TMS allows for a strategic efficient approach to servicing the needs of the university. With each task, there's a complete history from request to completion allowing managers and users to look at their past efforts, response times, etc., and tweak their efforts to provide the best service to users.
FamCast is The Florida A&M University Webcast System. Since it's inception, FamCast has been committed to bringing quality audio and video content to rattlers and users all over the internet. Web Applications/Systems Development
The webteam is responsible for creating applications and systems to further enhance the quality of the service of the university. Although these systems are often-times internal systems and may not be made public, these tools help administrators provide better service to the university.
